The interior is hand signed “Stephanie ’89”, indicating the artwork was completed in 1989. The handwritten title “The Green Garden” appears alongside the signature, making this more than simply a decorated hat—it is an original signed artwork.  The floral Art Nouveau-inspired design completely wraps the crown and features beautifully balanced botanical motifs in muted earth tones. Every element was individually painted by hand.  The hat itself was manufactured by Dorfman-Pacific, Oakland, California, one of America’s best-known hat makers.
