Amazing condition. Beautiful wide 16 brim. Beautiful representative of the era! A wide brim black straw hat with a tall tapered crown and a flat, generously proportioned brim running the full circle. Black grosgrain ribbon band around the base of the crown, tied at the left in a bow with long streamers falling well past the brim edge. Grosgrain binding finishes the brim edge all the way round. Carries the United Hatters, Cap and Millinery Workers union label, made in the USA. Woven straw with a subtle sheen that catches the light rather than reading flat black. This is the proper picture hat silhouette The union label is the mark of a genuine American millinery workroom, and it's the detail collectors look for.
