Gorgeous Ruby Floral Spiral Gold-tone Setting Antique Style Unique Sculptural

Beautiful vintage ring featuring a vivid faceted pinkish-red center stone in an unusual sculptural floral setting.  The stone displays strong red/pink fluorescence under UV light, consistent with chromium-bearing corundum/ruby. Under magnification, visible internal characteristics and age-related facet/surface wear can be seen.  Stone has not been professionally laboratory tested. It is therefore described conservatively as ruby/corundum with natural vs. laboratory-created origin and any treatment unknown.  The setting features an organic three-lobed floral or clover-like design with textured detailing and an elevated prong-set center stone. The construction, styling and visible wear give the piece an early vintage appearance; exact age is unknown.
