Beautiful and unusual vintage figural horse-head bottle stopper featuring a highly detailed white porcelain/ceramic horse with an exceptionally elaborate three-dimensional, textured gold-finished mane. The horse has remarkably detailed facial features including modeled eyes, brows, nostrils, cheeks, jawline and smiling mouth. The gold decoration incorporates sculpted/rippled mane strands along with unusual botanical/leaf-like decorative elements behind the ear. The horse is fitted into a tapered natural cork closure, making this a functional bottle stopper as well as an eye-catching equestrian display piece.
