This timepiece is a vintage Rumours hunter-case pocket watch featuring a Japanese quartz movement.  The case is heavily embossed with a classic outdoor hunting motif depicting a hunting dog (such as a retriever or pointer) sitting amidst tall marsh reeds and watching ducks fly overhead. While the decorative duck hunting case design itself is a common vintage mold used by numerous watch brands from the late 20th century (including Arnex, Geneva, and Majestime), the Rumours variant utilizes a reliable battery-operated Japanese quartz mechanism inside rather than a Swiss mechanical wind-up movement.
