Antique Bernardaud & Co. (B&C) Limoges France Porcelain Covered Soup Tureen Pattern Number: 16765 Retailer/Provenance Mark: F. Dierckx, Anvers (Antwerp, Belgium) Era: Early 20th Century (Circa 1900 - 1930s) This is a highly ornate antique fine porcelain covered oval soup/vegetable tureen from the renowned Bernardaud & Co. (B&Co.) factory in Limoges, France. This piece features a vibrant deep crimson/red border overlaid with rich gold filigree scrolls and geometric accents. The handles and elegant top finial are gilded in brilliant brushed gold with some signs of usage. The underside of the base features the authentic green underglaze B & C / LIMOGES / FRANCE factory stamp, alongside the red script studio/retailer mark for F. Dierckx / Anvers (Antwerp, Belgium). The inner lid bears the handwritten pattern designation code 16765.  Total Length (Handle to Handle): 14 1/2 inches Bowl Opening Length: 10 1/2 inches Bowl Opening Width: 8 inches Lid: 11 1/2 inches long x 8 1/2 inches wide Excellent antique condition. There are absolutely NO chips, cracks, repairs, or crazing anywhere on the porcelain body or lid. The porcelain remains crisp and white, and the interior is exceptionally clean. As expected with authentic antique table service of this era, there are minor signs of handling and wear/rubbing to the bright gold gilding accents (primarily along the rims, handle edges, and friction points).
