Triumph TR4 Bonnet Badge Shield Emblem Blue Cream Fits 1961-1965 UK 705950

Vintage Triumph TR4 bonnet badge, the blue and white enamel shield with the stylized radiator grille motif and TR 4 across the crown. Chrome-plated cast metal body with recessed enamel fill. The reverse is bare cast metal showing the mirrored grille relief, with two mounting studs: a threaded stud at the top and a second stud at the center retaining a hex nut. CONDITION Used vintage condition with honest wear, exactly as pictured. There is enamel loss in the upper left of the blue field, exposing bare metal beneath, and a chip in the white section near the upper right where a brass-toned undercoat shows through. There is a smaller loss near the center of the blue base. The remaining enamel shows fine crazing and scattered surface scratches. The chrome is dulled overall with scratching across the raised surfaces. The reverse shows dark oxidation and surface corrosion typical of a badge that lived on a car. The upper stud is bent. The center stud and nut are present. The TR 4 lettering and the full grille pattern are intact and read clearly. This is a genuine used badge with a working life behind it, suitable as a period piece, a restoration core, or a display item. If you need a badge that looks new, buy a reproduction instead. Reproductions of this design are widely available and are generally distinguishable from originals by their enamel color, so please study the photos carefully and buy based on what you see.
