Description
Unmarked vintage figural wicker kangaroo basket measuring approximately 23” tall. Features an unusually detailed sculptural construction with woven curled tail, dimensional hind legs, long wrapped arms, open-weave ears (ears have been glued back on properly from age/wear) and black eyes. Similar examples have been attributed by specialty vintage dealers to mid-century France and described as “in the style of Mario Torres”; this example is unmarked, so maker, exact age and country of origin are unknown.
