Signed Blue Spongeware‎ Stoneware Mixing Bowl Cobalt Farmhouse Folk Pottery 9.5"

A handsome blue and white spongeware mixing bowl in the classic American folk pottery tradition, featuring bold cobalt blue sponging over a creamy white stoneware body. The cobalt is applied with characteristic variation, giving the bowl a lively handmade character. The interior features a clean cream glaze with a solid cobalt band at the rim. The base is signed by the artist in cobalt blue — a relatively uncommon feature on spongeware, which was typically unmarked. A lovely piece for farmhouse, cottage, or country kitchen collecting and functional for everyday use. CONDITION: Good. One small chip on the rim. No cracks or repairs noted. Light age-appropriate wear consistent with vintage use.
