François Louis Solid Silver Alto Saxophone Mouthpiece

This is a François Louis solid silver alto saxophone mouthpiece.

Although it is a vintage item, it is in beautiful condition.
Unfortunately, I must part with it due to personal circumstances.

There are no cracks in the shank, and this is a mint condition masterpiece that you may only see once in a lifetime.

As you can see from the photos, the sphere chamber, for which François Louis obtained a patent and which has since been passed down as a replica in the current product line, remains in its original beautiful form from the time of its creation. (You should be able to see a spherical indentation in the back of the baffle, before the shank.)

An integrated ligature and a mouthpiece cap are included. (The mouthpiece cap is also not the current smart cap, but appears to be the type that was included with solid silver mouthpieces of that era.)

The latter half of the photos are for reference only and are unrelated to this product, but show the market price of François Louis solid silver mouthpieces.
An alto mouthpiece with a mouthpiece patch is listed at $3252 (approximately ¥510,000), and even a tenor mouthpiece with a melted and deformed beak and shank is trading for €3500 (approximately ¥650,000). Furthermore, a solid silver tenor mouthpiece is currently listed on eBay for €3950 (approximately ¥730,000), but its ligature has been replaced with a recently manufactured bronze type.

This is a top-class collector's item, and of course, for performance, the rich sound unique to solid silver and the warm tone resulting from the low baffle and wide internal shape are unparalleled. This is an exceptional piece that combines the richness of overtones of a solid silver mouthpiece with a warm tone.
