Vintage Indian hand-painted dome-top chest with folk art motifs, iron hardware, and rich decorative character.  This handcrafted composition papier-mâché chest features traditional Indian folk art imagery, including a court dancer, elephant, tiger, fish, birds, and a ceremonial kalash symbol. The black background, ochre borders, and terracotta-colored interior give it strong visual presence.  Designed with a domed lid, iron ring handle, and hand-forged latch, it works beautifully for storing keepsakes, letters, photos, or small collectibles.
